“Give OUYA a chance” says Michael Pachter

Pachter on Microconsoles

In a recent episode of “Pach-Attack!”, video game industry analyst Michael Pachter fielded a question about the lifespan of micro consoles. The question asker called the launch of the OUYA “less than stellar” and Pachter was quick to disagree with him, calling it a premise he doesn’t accept.

He continued to explain that he thinks that the OUYA team didn’t have large sales expectations, and that they just need time to establish a need for the product in the mind of consumers. Near the end of his microconsole discussion he predicted that OUYA would eventually hit the 1 million consoles sold mark.
